Ready to Run right out of the box?
Well yes, but there’s more to know…

Wheel nuts
Use the included R/C tire tool you got with your RTR truck to immediately verify all wheels are secured tightly.
You DO NOT want to make your first R/C run outside in the street, and within the first 5 minutes a wheel flies off down the road! Aside from the danger of your new R/C car being stuck in the middle of the street, you could loose your wheel nut and also a hex pin.
Do this.
Steering Linkage
Grab the included screwdriver (or one you already own), then carefully check the steering linkage. Just remember that small screw heads can strip more easily, so just be cautious.
The wheel nuts and the steering linkage are the first two things to come loose on your R/C vehicle, and should be checked before and after each run.

Shocks
Shock screws have not presented an issue for me on Ready-to-Run R/Cs, as they rarely work themselves loose.
With that being said, if they do come loose, when the shock pops out it’s likely to lead to more damage.
Do this.
Batteries
Factories put ONLY a partial charge on the R/C batteries before shipping. Make sure to give them a FULL charge.
For the best performance and maximum run-time with your R/C, charge the battery completely before running.
While charging your R/C battery for the first time, it’s the perfect opportunity to thumb through your owners manual and get to know your vehicle a little more while you wait.
