Spend less time repairing and more time having fun!

If you take your R/C to the skatepark, be ready for the consequences. Breaking something and waiting 2 weeks for parts isn’t fun.

Self Control

Above all is learning to use self-control! R/Cs are just fun, and soon you’re attempting to go FASTER and jump HIGHER with each and every pass. Self Control is knowing when to NOT attempt higher speeds or riskier jumps.

Learn to minimize your risk and damage as you gain driving experience. Your R/C will appreciate it and give you more run time.

This is an ongoing challenge that one should be aware of. Knowing how far to push the limits will come in time as fast as you add more driving experience.

Inspect your R/C

  • Learn from driving mistakes

  • Parts may take 2 weeks to arrive

Will I need any special tools?

To get started you will not need any special tools. Ready-to-Run R/C vehicles include in the box a screwdriver and tire hex tool at the minimum.

What’s the difference between brushed and brushless R/Cs?

A brushed R/C has a brushed motor and esc (electronic speed control). A brushed motor is vented allowing the motor to cool, but this means it is NOT waterproof.

A brushless R/C has a brushless motor and esc. The brushed motor is fully enclosed making it virtually waterproof. The esc may or may not be waterproof, review the items description or your owners manual for waterproof specifications.

Brushless R/Cs are also associated with more power.

What is the best size or scale R/C for someone fresh to the hobby?

You will need some experience with driving an R/C to become a pro.

For newcomers to the R/C hobby, I do not recommend purchasing a large 1/10 or 1/8 scale R/C. In my experience, the 1/16 scale is versatile and can be ran just about anywhere. A 1/16 scale R/C will fit in your backpack.

A large scale R/C will need more room to run, and may possesses a huge amount of power for a new driver to manage.

Parts for large scale R/Cs are considerably more pricey than 1/16 scale. For example, a $10 replacement part on a 1/16 scale may cost you up to $30 on a 1/8 scale R/C.

Once you are able to minimize wrecks and damage on your small scale R/C, you will know to treat a large scale R/C the same.
